10 students from Isart Digital in Paris have created an extraordinary short film that parodies the story of the Lord of the Rings in the Paris metro. The protagonists are replaced by rats and mice who are still fighting … for a ring. A film of 4 minutes that will tap you by its creativity and quality!
Are you a fan of Lord of the Rings? If so, then believe us, you will fall back in front of the short film that we will present. His name? Mice, a small story. Mice mean mouse in English and indeed, the animation features mice … that parody the story of the Lord of the Rings by fighting rats in the Paris metro.
The entire trilogy of the famous saga of Tolkien is here shortened in 4 wonderful little minutes, from the discovery of the ring (actually a capsule of the can), through the death of Gandalf, etc … We do not tell you more and we let you enjoy this creation with an end … that will make Parisians smile.
No Pixar or huge American studio behind this short film. No, Mice, a small story was produced and directed by 10 students of Isart Digital , an international school of higher education, Video Game & Animation 3D-FX, founded in Paris in 1999. Students were supported and sponsored by alumni and by The Yard VFX to make this film which is none other than their graduation project.
To name them, they are Jade Baillargeault , Nazli Doale , Dimitri James , Quang Daniel La , Morgane Lau , Melanie Pango , Manon Pringault , for the 3D animation part, and Thomas Tillard , Alexandre Tron and Maxime Vatopoulos , for the music and the sound design. Congratulations to all this young team that once again proves France’s potential for creativity in animation!
