Even if the black and white photos have an undeniable charm, it is clear that the color makes it possible to highlight the details and the features of the models. And that’s good: the artist we’re going to talk about today is a real master of the subject.
Originally from Austria, Mario Unger is a photographer and digital artist specializing in coloring and restoring old photographs. His daily mission: he explains it with very simple words: to reduce a little the distance felt by the time that passes.
Mario Unger has spent over 3000 hours to colorize old photos in black and white celebrities . Dozens of photographs that you know can be and that starts a second life thanks to the incredible work of colorization of the artist.
From Grace Kelly to Albert Einstein, through Pablo Picasso and Marilyn Monroe, the artist has brilliantly reworked the portrait of the most famous personalities of the nineteenth and twentieth century. We let you discover below a preview of his impressive work and we invite you to visit his Instagram account to discover all of his coloring. Great art!
