The “Animal Protection Index” site brings us the answers.
The report entitled ” Animal Protection Index ” establishes a ranking listing the commitment of some 50 countries to animal welfare and protection. This study conducted by the site “World Animal Protection” analyzes the behavior of each country based on indicators such as the education of human conscience, awareness, and respect for animal welfare standards. Scores awarded range from A to G, with A being the highest and G the worst.
Human Consciousness Education- This theme is about raising awareness of animal welfare in elementary school and college. It also looks at the knowledge of veterinary medicine.
Animal welfare standards – This indicator verifies that the standards imposed by the World Organization for Animal Health are respected by the government in question.
Animal protection – Another factor taken into account is whether or not countries recognize animal consciousness. Cruelty to animals must also be prohibited. This theme also analyzes animal protection efforts according to categories, whether they are domestic, farm or other.
