Tom Holland affirms possibility of representing LGBTTTI + community in the MCU

Marvel is about to bring his first openly homosexual character to the big screen.

Although the Russo brothers claimed that the small inclusion of a homosexual person in Avengers: Endgame was just the beginning, it was actor Tom Holland who gave more details about it.

During an interview with The Sunday Times, the interviewer asked Holland the possibility of playing a homosexual or bisexual Spider-Man, to which the actor replied:

Yes of course. I can not talk about the character’s future because I honestly do not know about that and it’s out of my reach. But I do know a lot about the future of Marvel, and they will represent several types of people in the coming years.

The world is not as simple as being a heterosexual white man. It does not end there, and these films must represent more than one type of person.

Previously it was revealed that Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson, is a bisexual character, a fact that the same actress confirmed through Twitter and so some fans claim that this is the character that is so much talked about in the MCU.

On the other hand, thanks to Holland’s declaration we know that Spider-Man will not change his crush with Mary Jane and that Marvel will represent the LGBTTTI + community in the near future.
