PREPARATION GUIDE: SIMPLE CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS:

For the cake:

  • 80 g flour
  • 125 g of pastry chocolate
  • 125 g of butter
  • 125 g of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the whipped cream:

  • 20 cl of whole cream (very cold)
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 bag of whipped cream

PREPARATION

STEP 1

While oven preheats to 180 ° C (th.6), prepare cake batter for this chocolate recipe. Start by cutting the chocolate and 115 g of butter in pieces, and melt them, either in a bain-marie (that is to say in a salad bowl placed over a pan filled with a bottom of water) or at the microphone -wave.

STEP 2

Then separate the whites from the egg yolks. When they are ready, mix (with a spoon) butter and melted chocolate with flour and baking powder (preferably both sieved to avoid lumps), then with sugar, salt and finally, the yolks. eggs. Finally, beat the whites until stiff, and gently stir in the mixture (stirring up and down).

STEP 3

To bake your cake, grease a round pan (mussel type) with the remaining 10 g butter spread with paper towels, then pour in the batter, bake for about 25 minutes (the tip of a knife should come out just wet), unmold the cake still hot on a rack, and wait a few hours before enjoying it.

STEP 4

When serving, prepare the whipped cream by beating the liquid cream (very cold) with a whisk for 1 min, then adding the vanilla sugar and the whipped cream (as soon as the cream is attached to the branches of the whip, you can stop ) then present the cut cake in individual parts, and place the cream either next to or over it.

TIPS

If you do not want to accompany your cake with whipped cream, sprinkle with icing sugar and decorate with pieces of fresh fruit, candied or syrup. And if you want to give it an air of brownie, cook it in a rectangular mold and then serve it cut in square parts.
